We know finding the right housing is an important decision. To help you feel informed and confident, we’ve answered some of the most common questions about life at Cozy Nest Living — from eligibility and application steps to what you can expect when you move in.
Is Cozy Nest Living a licensed facility or group home?
No, we are not a licensed treatment facility or group home. Cozy Nest Living provides safe, supportive shared housing for independent adults. Residents must be able to manage their daily needs without on-site staff.
Is there a lease or long-term commitment required?
No, there is no long-term lease required. We offer flexible, month-to-month housing with a written agreement and clear house rules.
How quickly can someone move in?
Availability is limited. After your application is reviewed and your phone screening is complete, we’ll schedule an in-person meeting and confirm your move-in date based on current openings.
What are the house expectations or rules?
Each resident receives a detailed Welcome Packet outlining community expectations, safety guidelines, and shared living standards. Respect, cleanliness, and cooperation are essential. Click here to download the full House Rules PDF.
Are pets allowed at Cozy Nest Living?
No, pets are not permitted at Cozy Nest Living at this time.
Can I bring my own furniture or personal items?
All rooms are fully furnished for your convenience. You may bring small personal items, but large furniture pieces are not permitted.
No, while we maintain secure properties and stay in close contact with residents, Cozy Nest Living does not provide 24-hour supervision or live-in staff.
Is there a community or program fee?
Yes, a one-time, non-refundable $300 community fee is due upon move-in. This fee may be used to cover cleaning, damages, or replacement of furnishings caused during your stay.
Can couples apply to live together?
We evaluate this on a case-by-case basis, depending on space and availability. At this time, we primarily accept individual residents.
What is your policy on substance use?
Cozy Nest Living is a drug- and alcohol-free environment. Residents are expected to maintain a sober lifestyle while living in our homes.
Do you accept residents with higher level mental health needs?
No, we serve adults with Level 1 mental health needs such as anxiety, depression, or PTSD. We are not equipped to support individuals who require intensive care, supervision, or medication management.
Can a case manager or agency apply on someone's behalf?
Yes, when completing the intake form, please select whether you’re filling it out for yourself or on behalf of a client. Our team will follow up accordingly.
Does Cozy Nest Living perform background checks:?
Cozy Nest Living does not perform automatic disqualifying background checks. However, for the safety of all residents, we may verify identity and review publicly available records.
